June 2nd, Italian Republic Day!

Today, June 2, 2021, our Republic celebrates the 75th anniversary of its foundation.

To honor this important anniversary and to remember the numerous critical days faced, in the last year, by our nation and our city of Cremona, the Academia has created a special violin, which will soon arrive in Rome and will be donated to the President of the Italian Republic.

Last Sunday we had the honor of hosting Maestro Berni, who showed us and played, on the occasion of the conference “Comunicazione & Liuteria”, the soprillo saxophone in 5ib Eppelsheim and the J’Elle Stainer, the sax (sub-double bass ) largest in the world.

With its 3 meters in height and over 30 kg in weight it has been awarded Guinness World Records, as the largest saxophone that can be played by one person.
